Tokyo shows us how to dress to impress in our latest MODERNHYPE STYLE Streetsnaps. Experimenting with silhouettes, show goers managed to create unique and eye-catching looks through layering, mixing and matching and by accessorising in true Tokyo fashion. It wouldn’t be Fashion Week without seeing some of the biggest brands sported on the street – this time around Burberry, Helmut Lang, Maison Margiela, Rick Owens and Nike dominated the scene. Footwear seemed to be in focus, with sneaker silhouettes like Balenciaga’s iconic Triple-S shoes and Nike’s Air Force 1 Swoosh Pack making an appearance, stealing the show.
Key pieces seemed to be leather jackets with metal hardware, as well as DIY-influenced pieces with patches and customized detailing. Despite there being a lot of outfits sporting bold and bright colours, classic black and white still proved to be a winner – in true minimalist fashion.
