Snapchat is aiming to streamline its flagship app. They’re rolling out a redesign that separates feeds from brands and friends. The concept sees the Snapchat camera placed in the center of the home page, with friends’ stories and chats on one side and brands in the Discover page on the other. Users are considered friends if they follow each other, and frequently watching a user’s story or chatting with them will teach the algorithm to bring their content to the top of the Friends page.
Snapchat is first testing the redesign with a small group of users before opening it up to everyone.
